is Hank Vanderpoll.

Hank first worked in the Domestic Swimming Pool Industry in Sydney, Australia over 25 years ago.

He initially trained as an installer of domestic pre-engineered vinyl-lined swimming pools giving him a particularly useful grounding in flexible membrane/vinyl liner installation and allowed for progression into the pool renovation market.

PVC linings and other membranes have been used to overcome many a leaking problem worldwide.

Hank’s advanced installation techniques allow for flexible waterproofing membranes to be installed in all types of structures including pre-engineered, concrete, and fibreglass pools and many more applications.

His concentrating on the commercial swimming pool market over the past few years has meant training and working in overseas markets involving a large variety of products.

Hank worked as a qualified installer/project co-ordinator and technical consultant to Myrtha Pools from Italy who have installed pools for some of the world’s most prestigious events such as the Olympics, World Long and Short Course Swimming Championships and other special events. Since 1999 Hank has worked in this capacity on large commercial installations in many countries including locations in Australasia, USA, Europe, Africa and Asia. All these pools were lined with PVC membranes.

There is a growing acceptance of the use of flexible membranes in swim schools, council facilities, special event and residential pools in Australia following similar trends worldwide. In 2006 Hank returned to Sydney to promote PVC membrane installations and renovations in Australia. He assisted Astral Pools of Spain with the temporary installations of 2 Olympic sized pools in the 2007 World Swimming Championships held in Rod Laver Arena Melboune.  Hank is now a preferred contractor for Astral Pool installation in Australia.  More recently he has worked on several council pools in NSW installing membranes to overcome serious leaks which have existed for many years including Oberon, Portland, North Sydney and swim school pools in Harbord, North Rocks and Smithfield and many more.................
